The government has chosen the Naver Cloud consortium as the developer for a cybersecurity-specialized artificial intelligence (AI) model. The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 3rd that, following a presentation evaluation of two consortia, Naver Cloud and SK Telecom, it has decided to select the Naver Cloud consortium as the final contractor.
The evaluation was conducted by a panel of external experts in the fields of AI and cybersecurity, who comprehensively assessed the technical capabilities, development experience, excellence of objectives, and feasibility based on the business proposals and presentation content of each consortium. The Naver Cloud consortium received high scores for its development strategy, which involves forming a large-scale industry-academia-research collaboration and utilizing multiple agents and harnesses.
This consortium is led by Naver Cloud and includes AI and security companies such as LG CNS, LG Uplus, Sands Lab, and East Security, as well as major universities and research institutions like KAIST, Seoul National University, Korea University, and POSTECH, totaling 32 participating organizations. The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to sign an agreement with the Naver Cloud consortium this month and commence the development of the cybersecurity-specialized AI model.
