Nine Doosan Enerbility employees who were stranded due to severe flooding in Nepal returned to Korea around 2 PM on the 31st. They had been isolated at the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower plant in Nepal due to the floods and were transported to safety by military helicopter on the 27th.
The returning employees are physically and psychologically exhausted due to the sudden disaster, and Doosan Enerbility emphasized the importance of respecting their wishes by minimizing contact with the outside world, allowing them to quietly regain stability with their families.
Meanwhile, search operations for six Doosan Enerbility employees and three Korea Southeast Power employees who are still uncontactable due to the floods are ongoing, with the government rapid response team, Doosan Enerbility, and Korea Southeast Power deploying helicopters to assist.
