Park Ji-won, Chairman of Doosan Enerbility, arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal on the 29th and expressed his intention to support the rescue operations for missing employees. In an interview with reporters, he explained that "the rescue of employees who have not yet been contacted is ongoing," and that he came to Nepal to assess the situation firsthand.
Chairman Park expressed concern over the delays in helicopter deployment for the missing employees and stated that he would do his utmost to ensure that the rescue operations proceed swiftly in close cooperation with the government response team. He conveyed words of comfort to the families of the missing employees and emphasized that the company would spare no effort in providing support.
Currently, due to severe flooding in Nepal, a total of nine Korean employees, including six from Doosan Enerbility and three from Korea South-East Power, are uncontactable. Park Jung-won, Chairman of the Doosan Group, has recognized the gravity of the situation and stated that confirming the safety of the employees and ensuring their safe return is the top priority.
