President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has entered the 30% range for the first time since taking office. According to a survey conducted by JoWon C&I, the positive evaluation of the president's governance is at 38.9%, while the negative evaluation stands at 57.9%. This marks a 4.0 percentage point drop in positive ratings compared to early August, while negative ratings have increased by 3.8 percentage points.
The survey indicates that negative evaluations exceeded positive evaluations across all age groups, particularly among the youth aged 18 to 29, where positive ratings were at 30.1% and negative ratings at 62.9%. In the 30s age group, positive ratings were at 33.1% and negative ratings at 65.8%, while among centrists, positive ratings were at 42.9% and negative ratings at 55.1%, highlighting a negative trend.
Regionally, the highest positive evaluation was found in the Jeonnam-Gwangju and Jeonbuk areas at 65.3%, while in Seoul, positive ratings were at 34.9% and negative ratings at 61.9%. In party support surveys, the Democratic Party of Korea was at 43.9%, while the People Power Party was at 37.3%. This survey was conducted via ARS method, with a margin of error of ±2.2 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
