He criticized the recent party convention, stating, "The president trying to pick and elect the party leader is a move towards monarchy and aristocracy," arguing that it goes against the spirit of a republic. Yoo added that losing half of the Democratic Party's members is fatal for the president, and he cannot understand why the president would make such decisions.
