Jeong Seong-ho, a member of the Democratic Party, announced that he will return to legislative activities after completing his term as Justice Minister. He conveyed this message to the citizens of Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, via text message on the afternoon of the 26th, stating, "Today, I finish my duties as Justice Minister and return to the National Assembly."
During the farewell ceremony held at the Government Complex Gwacheon, he officially concluded his ministerial term of one year and one month. He reflected on his time in office, saying, "As the first Justice Minister of the people's sovereign government, I did my best to restore the broken democracy and rule of law." He also expressed gratitude, stating, "The support of the people allowed me to reach this position."
Jeong also discussed his future plans, emphasizing, "Now, I will work diligently in the National Assembly to support the success of the people's sovereign government and help Yangju become a central city in northern Gyeonggi Province." Having completed his role as the first Justice Minister of the current government, he plans to focus on legislation and local constituency activities.
