On the 26th, at a Supreme Council meeting held in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Kim Min-seok, the leader of the Democratic Party, stated regarding Lee Jin-sook of the People Power Party, "Let's unify and call her 'female Chun Doo-hwan.'" Kim raised a question about why Lee only takes issue with being called 'female Hitler' but not with 'female Chun Doo-hwan' in relation to her lawsuit against him.
Kim remarked, "It seems that Lee does not even consider that being called 'female Chun Doo-hwan' could damage her honor," referencing the historical judgment on Chun Doo-hwan's insurrection. He argued that the term 'female Chun Doo-hwan' is historically defined and emphasized the need to swiftly process a proposed amendment to the National Assembly Act that would suspend the duties of lawmakers who distort the May 18 Democratic Movement for up to one year.
At the same meeting, floor leader Han Byeong-do announced that a resolution calling for Lee's expulsion had passed. He criticized the current situation that places the May 18 Democratic Movement at the center of controversy and expressed his dismay at Lee portraying herself as a victim. During the forum, remarks denying the May 18 Democratic Movement led to a wave of protests from attendees.
