On the 31st, Democratic Party lawmaker Park Ji-won appeared on YTN radio and expressed partial agreement with criticisms regarding gender bias concerning Ministerial candidate Yoon Hye-in, while positively evaluating the appointment of a female minister in her 30s. He stated, "Regardless of the circumstances, having a female minister in her 30s in our country is quite refreshing."
Lawmaker Park acknowledged the existence of criticism regarding gender issues, saying, "It is true that there is some bias," and expressed his expectations for the ministerial role. He emphasized, "When you serve as a minister, as I have, it should be viewed comprehensively," adding that he believes candidate Yoon will perform well.
Additionally, Park mentioned that even if Yoon is appointed as minister, she plans to maintain her proportional representative position, explaining that this reflects "a facet of our country's politics." He stated that if Yoon Hye-in, the leader of the Basic Income Party, resigns from her position, it would lead to the party becoming an extraparliamentary entity.
