Former National Assembly Secretary General Yoo In-tae has strongly criticized the 90-degree bow by members of the Democratic Party. He mentioned on CBS Radio's 'Park Seong-tae's News Show' regarding the 90-degree bow at the Democratic Party's general meeting, "What is this, a gang? A 90-degree bow?" and pointed out that such behavior is not in line with common sense.
Yoo raised questions about the lawmakers' actions, stating, "This is something you do when there is something to apologize for, but if you committed a serious wrongdoing, shouldn't you be completely on the ground to be accepted as an apology?" He expressed skepticism about the meaning of the 90-degree bow suggested by Representative Kim Min-seok, saying, "It means that everyone bows to the public once," and questioned whether this approach is truly appropriate.
Earlier, writer Yoo Si-min described the Democratic Party's 90-degree bow as a 'strange gang culture' and criticized the lawmakers' actions as a form of dumbing down. He warned that the Democratic Party is moving from civilization to barbarism and emphasized the need for this change. The criticisms from both Yoo In-tae and Yoo Si-min have sparked in-depth discussions about the internal culture and political attitudes of the Democratic Party.
