On the 28th, Democratic Party floor leader Han Byeong-do criticized the People Power Party during a Supreme Council meeting held at the Inspire Resort in Yeongjong, Incheon, emphasizing the importance of the regular National Assembly. He stated, "Not a single second of precious time in the regular National Assembly should be wasted due to the People Power Party's obstinacy and obstruction."
He further urged the People Power Party to listen to the voices of the people and take action. He pointed out that while the Democratic Party is devising a future vision for economic recovery and growth, the People Power Party has been pouring out criticisms against the government. He also criticized the People Power Party for obstructing the formation of the National Assembly and the processing of legislation in the latter half of the term.
He warned, "In this regular National Assembly, let us put aside outdated party interests and work together for the people's livelihood," and cautioned against the futile expectation that irresponsible obstruction of government affairs could stop the clock of the National Assembly.
