Shareholders who suffered losses due to allegations of bribery involving Kim Seung-won, the nominee for Minister of Justice, are planning to submit a petition for severe punishment to the court. These shareholders are from Sejong Medical, which invested over 10 billion won in the COVID-19 treatment developer Genensel, and they are set to submit a collective petition to the Seoul Western District Court and the Seoul High Court on the 7th. It is reported that around 200 affected shareholders will participate in this petition.

In the petition, the shareholders stated, "We are victims of stock manipulation fraud," and requested strict punishment for those responsible. In particular, they demanded clear confirmation on how Yang Mo used political connections and what information was conveyed by Democratic Party member Kim Seung-won to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. They appealed for the facts to be clarified through objective materials such as official documents, call records, and meeting notes.

Furthermore, they emphasized that anyone involved in illegal activities should be held accountable regardless of their social status, and requested that if additional criminal evidence or responsible parties are found, the prosecution should consider re-investigation to clarify the relevant facts. They earnestly asked the court to clearly hear the voices of the small shareholders who are bearing the burden.
